Online Markdown Editor with Live Preview, LaTeX & Mermaid
Write, preview, and organize technical documentation right in your browser. Kallos Markdown
combines an interactive hybrid live preview canvas, split-screen synchronized scrolling, instant KaTeX math rendering,
interactive Mermaid diagrams, and clean Markdown to PDF export—with zero servers and complete privacy.
Four Flexible Writing & Reading Modes
Whether you prefer editing raw Markdown syntax, writing in a distraction-free hybrid canvas, or comparing source
code side by side with the rendered output, Markdown Studio adapts to your workflow:
Hybrid Live Preview (WYSIWYG)
Headings, GFM tables, KaTeX math blocks, syntax-highlighted code cards, and interactive Mermaid diagrams
render directly on the writing canvas as you type, revealing the raw Markdown syntax and theme colors only on
the active line or block under your cursor—with an adjustable sheet width and instant Ctrl + E
raw/rendered toggle.
Split View with Scroll Sync
Edit with CodeMirror 6 on the left while watching your formatted document update in real time on the right,
powered by proportional line-by-line scroll synchronization and an adjustable pane divider.
Raw Editor & Reading Desk
Switch effortlessly between a focused monospace code editor with line numbers and vector minimap, or a clean
typographic reading mode designed for reviewing long technical documents.
Built for Technical Writing: KaTeX Math, Mermaid Diagrams & GFM
Standard text editors struggle when documentation combines equations, architecture diagrams, and multi-language
source code. Markdown Studio processes everything locally in milliseconds:
Markdown Editor with LaTeX (KaTeX)
Write inline expressions like $E = mc^2$ or multi-line display matrices inside
$$...$$ blocks. Equations render crisply using self-hosted KaTeX fonts without external CDN requests.
Interactive Mermaid SVG Diagrams
Create flowcharts, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, and state machines inside ```mermaid
fenced blocks. Inspect complex diagrams with built-in zoom, pan, and SVG/PNG export controls.
GFM Callouts, Tables & Footnotes
Full support for GitHub Flavored Markdown tables, interactive task lists (- [x]), semantic
footnotes ([^1]), and styled callout alerts ([!NOTE], [!TIP],
[!IMPORTANT], [!WARNING], [!CAUTION]).
Convert Markdown to PDF & Standalone HTML5
Need to share a report, academic assignment, or engineering RFC? Markdown Studio includes dedicated print and
export pipelines so your documents look polished everywhere:
- Clean Markdown to PDF Export: Press
Ctrl + P (or use the export menu) to generate print-ready PDFs with preserved code syntax colors, sharp vector Mermaid diagrams, automatic expansion of collapsible <details> sections, and smart page-break rules.
- Self-Contained Offline HTML5: Export any note as a single standalone
.html file with embedded styles and Base64 KaTeX fonts that opens in any browser without an internet connection.
- Direct Markdown (
.md) Download: Import existing .md or .txt files via drag-and-drop and download your raw Markdown files anytime.
Private by Design: 100% Local-First Storage in Your Browser
Unlike cloud-based note tools that require accounts and store your drafts on remote servers, Markdown Studio is a
private Markdown editor with no sign-up. Your folders and documents are stored directly inside
your browser's IndexedDB database.
There are no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics scripts, and no external API calls. Once loaded, the
entire workspace—including fonts, syntax highlighters, KaTeX math, and Mermaid rendering—works offline.
Who Is Markdown Studio For?

- Students, Researchers & Educators: Combine prose with LaTeX mathematical derivations, scientific footnotes, and structured tables, then export directly to PDF.
- Technical Writers & Knowledge Workers: Organize multiple documents into nested folders with instant search, automatic Table of Contents (TOC), and customizable dark and light themes.
